About Us
Seasonal Catering was established in 2014 by Jim & Michelle Calkins. A family operated Farm to Table small business that has rapidly grown and become known for quality food and service. We have created memories for our clients that will last a lifetime. Our belief has always been in quality ingredients sourced from local CT farms. Each catered event is carefully curated to engage your senses while maintaining our commitment to sustainability using local and seasonal ingredients.
Sustainable Catering
Seasonal Catering is proud to be one of only 2 Green Certified Wedding & Special Event Catering Companies in Connecticut.

Our environmental commitment: We are purchasing locally grown seasonal foods from local farms as much as possible to reduce our carbon footprint. We compost our kitchen scraps into nutrient rich soil with local CT farms to enrich the future produce we will be using. We utilize recycled and compostable cups and food containers instead of Styrofoam.

Farm to Table
We are doing our part to reduce our carbon footprint and invest in the local economy by supporting local farms. We are proud to source our products from these farms:
Laurel Glen Farm, Shelton, CT
Laurel Glen Farm has been in the family since the early 1900's. While the farm spent most of its thriving years as a dairy farm, it has a storied history growing a variety of vegetables and housing various livestock.
The newest generation of farmers have taken over the farm using sustainable methods to provide the freshest produce possible.
Beardsley Cider Mill & Orchard, Shelton, CT
The Beardsley’s have been farming this plot of land in White Hills, Shelton, CT since 1849! It was a dairy farm until a school bus lost its brakes and crashed into the barn in 1973, burning it to the ground.
Everything from hay to turkeys has been raised on the farm, including apples planted in the 1920’s, which are still being harvested today.
They have over 10,000 dwarf and semi dwarf apple trees, newly planted peach and plumb trees too!
Massaro Community Farm, Woodbridge, CT
Massaro Community Farm is a nonprofit, certified organic farm on 57 acres of land; 42 acres of woods and wetlands along with 15 acres of fields, 10 that are currently cultivated producing fruits, vegetables, flowers, and honey.
Gilbertie's Herb Farm, Easton, CT
The largest certified organic greenhouse system in New England. The business started as a cut flower farm in the early 1920's. Today they grow some of the finest micro greens, lettuces, arugula, spinach, Swiss chard, field vegetables and of course herbs in the United States.
Jones Family Farms, Shelton, CT
150 Year Tradition of Agricultural Excellence. The beautiful countryside with its orderly rows of Christmas trees, neat stonewalls, and well-maintained fields are the result of efforts by seven generations of Jones family farmers.
The 400-acre working farm has 200 acres of Christmas trees, 15 acres of strawberries, 15 acres of blueberries, 25 acres of pumpkins, and over ten acres of grapes are in production for the farm's winery.
